| Details: | Received an email from water operator on 5/25/2023 at 11:04 am. The operator stated that they are finishing up the list of recommendations from OAWU and the state engineer regarding the possible cause/causes of the positive coliform samples. The operator wrote "I replaced a vent on Spring #1 from a 3" riser to a 12" riser. I had a contractor remove and reseal the manhole covers on Spring #2 and #4. Spring #4 looked good with no evidence of water intrusion. Spring #2 on the other hand hand looked to have clear evidence of leakage at the seams of the concrete and the junction of the cast iron cover and the concrete. I also replaced the flap valves with blind flanges." Discussed with operator on 05/26/2023 at 8:15 am that once June RT coliform samples are in data online and show no coliform, I will follow up with DMCE to postpone the residual disinfection requirement. I also discussed with the operator that the system will immediately need to re-establish the requirement to apply disinfection if one or more coliform investigations are triggered following correction. |
