Details: | 05.08.2023-Survey deficiencies update -CT calculations corrected: Michael presented an amended SWT report for the month of April. daily CT calculations on this report were made using the contact time from the CT study done on February 17, 2023. Going forward the system should calculate daily CTs using 24 minutes of contact time. With only 24 minutes of contact time, the system will need to keep the chlorine residuals to nearly 2 mg per liter in order to consistently meet CTs, especially during cold days. -Flow meter required after contact chamber corrected: The system initially considered using tanks 1 and 2 as contact chambers. With tanks 1 and 2 plumbed in series, the system was required to install a flow meter and spigot at the effluent side of tank 2 to keep track of flow and to measure WQPs for CT calculations. This idea was later abandoned, and the system decided to conduct a tracer study using only tank 1 as the contact chamber. there is currently a flow meter and spigot at the effluent side of tank 1. Next step: The system needs to address the cross-connection requirements. I emailed Corinne and Michael today, requesting an update on this. |
