| Details: | Maintenance was being done on the reservoir where Portland water is blended with water from the Alder Creek plant to dilute the organic content. Without the blending, the water was high in organics leading to high HAA5s. The reservoir was placed back into service June 2,2023, and the water is being blended once again with normal operation. The reservoir will be cleaned twice per year, instead of once per year and the City is looking into flushing strategies for problematic areas and mixing protocols that can be used regardless of reservoir disruption. |
