| Details: | Melissa Ney and I discussed the recent administrative order with Jack Bellinger and two managers for the produce stand and restaurant. Mr. Bellinger said he will do everything possible to comply with the order so that it can be closed as soon as possible. I stated samples must be collected every month, including confirmation samples if any are over the MCL, and that if too many samples exceed the MCL, OHA may proceed with civil penalties as it would be the next step in the enforcement process. I did state penalties are not a preference. Mr. Bellinger asked about public notice and I stated that notice is only required while sample results exceed the MCL. Mr. Bellinger said he plans to invest in a new nitrate treatment system and that the problems with the current system may be due to the age of the system or the fact that it lacks capacity for the produce stand and increased restaurant business. | ||
