Details: | SUDC meeting 02.28.2024-I emailed Corinne clarifying that the SUDC grant award and contract have to be in place with Business Oregon prior to breaking ground on a project. Corinne was also reminded that if Weiss Estates is still interested in pursuing SUDC funding, they will need to submit a LOI before March 15, 2024. 12.14.2023-We had a meeting over MS Teams with the attendance of Casey Lyon, Michael Murphy, David Funderburk, and Corinne Clifton. -David stated that the scope of the water treatment improvements for Weiss Estates include a new membrane filter, UV, removal of the intake sub-pump and the relocation of the intake. -As an alternative to David's plan, Michael suggested focusing only on changing the intake location and installing a section of plug-flow pipe to increase contact time. David clarified that there is not enough space available on the property to install the amount of plug-flow pipe needed to increase contact time. - After Casey clarified the SUDC grant conditions, Corinne expressed Weiss Estates' interest in the grant to finance the water treatment improvement project. Excluding corrosion control treatment, the estimated cost of David's improvement plan for the water system is $150,000. If SUDC grant is awarded to Weiss Estates, the grant funds would be available possibly in fall, 2024. Due to the time frame and the urgency to replace the membrane filter, Weiss Estates may end up using their funds to replace the membrane as soon as possible. All other improvements, including corrosion control treatment could then be covered by the grant. |
