Details: | 11.26.2024 DWS provided an update to BIZ OR regarding the compliance status of this system and the source of funding for their water treatment plant. This system was initially selected as one of four for potential SUDC funding earlier this year. However, as those funds are already obligated, DWS will now use a portion of the 2024 BIL General Supplemental funds to finance their much-needed water treatment plant. DWS will apply for these BIL GS funds before ethe end of 2024, anticipating their arrival in spring or early summer of 2025. The system is currently under an enforcement agreement with a construction deadline of late 2027 and project completion due in mid-2028. Once DWS secure the BIL GS funds, IFA will work with the system to develop a contract and award, ensuring compliance with all federal regulations and guidelines, including BABA and federal procurement laws. 02.15.2024 Casey reported that it is possible to use SUDC grant to fully fund the water treatment improvement project for Galice Subdivision. We would essentially move this project from the SRF base funds to the SUDC funds. Next steps: Galice subdivision was advised to reach out to DWS to confirm whether or not there is interest in pursuing the SUDC grant opportunity. Galice Subdivision would not have to submit another LOI. Any changes to the project scope or cost estimate would need to be reported by March 15th. |
