Details: | Background/Problem Identification: Garren Friedemann of Delta contacted the circuit rider for assistance in selecting arsenic treatment equipment for the water system at Lakeside Mobile Home Park. Assistance Provided: The circuit rider met with Garren onsite to review the water system infrastructure. Lakeside MHP gets water from two unnamed wells, well #1 and well #2. Well #1 serves two spaces at the mobile home park, and well #2 serves the remainder of the spaces. It is believed that the two systems are not connected. Water quality parameter data on both sources have the following values: Well #1 • Iron – ND • Manganese – ND • Arsenic III – ND • Arsenic V – 0.0093 mg/L Well #2 • Iron – ND • Manganese – ND • Arsenic III – ND • Arsenic V – 0.0309 mg/L Given these water quality parameters, we would recommend twin downflow media reactors in series using an ion exchange resin (selective for arsenic) to remove arsenic from the raw well water. Garren informed the circuit rider that Lakeside was currently having bigger issues with their wells/water rights and that the arsenic treatment would have to be postponed until these issues were rectified. Follow-Up Actions Needed: The circuit rider can assist further as needed. Technical Reports to be Prepared and Expected Timeframe-NA |
