| Details: | 06.13.2024-Customer complaint I received a customer complaint on the phone duty line from a customer of the city of Dallas PWS. The complainant lives in a subdivision (160+ homes) located just outside of Salem. The complainant's main concern is that the city is not notifying homes that they need to get their backflow assemblies tested. The HOA is now trying to communicate to homeowners that this is something they need to do, but she is asking DWS to please contact the operator and ensure that the city of Dallas is notifying new developments and homes with irrigation systems, boilers, chemical feed lines, pools and spas. The complainant mentioned other subdivision in the city where residents with irrigation systems may not know they need a backflow assembly installed and regularly tested. Specifically, a subdivision north of Ceres Glenn (on academy Dr), that may not be receiving notification from the city. Next steps: The regulator will be reaching out to the water system operator to discuss these concerns. |
