| Details: | The following are updates for what are now 2 leaks and complaints received by the Public Utility Commission (PUC) and subsequently forwarded to Hood River Co. Env. Health and OHA-Drinking Water Services (DWS). See contact report from 8/6/24 in which the first leak was anticipated to have been fixed by 8/16/24. 8/13/24 - Received an email from Tammy Hirata with Parkdale that they had to postpone the repair on Baseline Dr and 4th Street due to COVID illnesses. 8/26/24 - Charla Wolf with the PUC received another complaint that the break appears to be in the street to the south of 7525 Clear Creek Road. 8/27/24 - PUC heard back from original complainant that the leak on Baseline was still a concern and requested the date(s) repairs are scheduled for both Baseline and Clear Creek. 9/3/24 - Tammy with Parkdale responded that the leak on Clear Creek Rd is a separate issue. They assessed it last week, but they have yet to determine whether it’s caused by groundwater or a water valve and would need more time to investigate further. However, given the more delicate nature of the Baseline leak, their primary focus is to start the repair process on Baseline by the end of this week. Once that’s underway, they will further investigating the Clear Creek Rd leak. 9/4/24 - Charla recommended that Parkdale keep customers informed. 9/5/24 - Tammy responded that they had called the owner and left him a message regarding their plans 9/11/24 - Charla requested Parkdale submit a detailed report of what is causing the delay and when repairs to both Clear Creek and Baseline leaks will be completed. 9/12/24 - Tammy sent the following report: on 009/06/2024 they found the 1-1/4" line leak. The repair date for Baseline is still undetermined, as we have not yet completed the repair. We are currently working on locating a 1-1/4" full-circle clamp from suppliers in Portland and do not have a confirmed timeline for its arrival...The repair date for Clear Creek Road is still undetermined. |
