| Details: | The operator, Eugene Beachler, called to let me know that their arsenic confirmation sample came back over the MCL. He is unsure why the result was high since they are no longer pumping directly into the distribution system. He said that he is new to the system, so he was not sure of the cause. It was suggested that he review their Operations and Maintenace Manual/Standard Operating Procedure for the treatment system to make sure he was following the procedure for adding treatment chemicals. Also, suggested that he contact OAWU who helped out the last time they were having problems. He said he had OAWU's number and would call for help. Also, informed him that they were now on quarterly monitoring for at least a year and how to look up their Running Annual Average (RAA). He was informed that if their RAA is over the MCL after a year, the water system would be in violation and required to correct the problem. | ||
