| Details: | 10.13.2025-I emailed Morgan informing her of the Interim standards the system needs to meet. Specifically, turbidity must not exceed 5 NTU. Turbidity must be measured at least once per day. Disinfection must be sufficient to achieve at least 1.0 log inactivation of Giardia lamblia cysts prior to 1st user and CT calculations must be done daily. 10.07.2025-Discussed with Morgan during the water system survey site visit the status of the water system. The drinking water supplied of Wilderville Country Store does not meet state treatment requirements to remove and inactivate surface water pathogens. Next steps: The operator is planning the necessary improvements and must install the required surface water treatment by October 16, 2026. In the interim, the system is working to meet all disinfection and treatment rule requirements, with assistance from the Drinking Water Circuit Rider program. Customers will be notified when they no longer need to boil your water. The boil water notice will be reported every three months until surface water treatment is installed. 03.26.2025-The DWS hydrogeologist required the system to perform a Microscopic Particulate Analysis (MPA) to determine if the water from SRC-AB should be classified as Groundwater Under the Direct Influence of Surface Water (GWUDI). The first MPA, taken on March 26, 2025, yielded a score of 30, resulting in the system being officially classified as GWUDI. Notification of the GWUDI determination was emailed to Morgan (new owner) on April 16, 2025. 12.20.2024-County REHS contacted Laura Iman to inform her that all five source confirmation samples, collected on December 18, returned positive results for E. coli and total coliform. I immediately emailed her the necessary public notice template. I also let her know that the Oregon Drinking Water Program will conduct a source evaluation, and their findings will dictate the necessary next actions. |
