| Details: | Public notification 01.29.2025 Background: A public notice was issued on January 18th due to a leak impacting the upper sections of the park. The operator was advised to notify only the affected customers. The operator inquired about the need to notify all customers. After discussing this issue with the DWS Regional Manager, the following approach was determined to be in compliance with OAR Rule 333-061-0042: System-wide Notification: When a line break incident results in a total loss of pressure system-wide, or the extent of the affected area is uncertain, a boil water advisory shall be issued to all customers within the system. Targeted Notification: When the affected area is clearly defined, a boil water advisory shall be issued to the affected customers. it's not required for unaffected customers to be notified. Guidance Provided: A link to the OAR Rule 333-061-0042 was provided to the operator for their reference. Next Steps: No further actions are required at this time. |
