| Details: | Salem let me know that they will be exercising their Cherry intertie with Keizer for a few hours and wanted to see if there were sampling requirements since Keizer's water will be sent into Salem's distribution system. I let them know that if the intertie is a dead end they should flush and monitor chlorine residuals. Also recommended pH and alkalinity readings to see how closely it matches Salem’s water – then in the future if it’s activated for a longer period we’ll have an idea of the corrosion and lead risk. If the intertie was running for a longer period of time in the future we’d probably want to see other chemical sampling like DBPs, lead, and copper, etc. | ||
