Details: | 03.13.2025 Corinne confirmed that the system was purchasing bulk water (Feb 20 - Mar 13) while the WTP improvements were in being installed. When each daily 1500 gallons is delivered, Corinne adds 4 ounces of sodium hypochlorite to the 2500-gallon water tank. Free chlorine concentration is measured at the operator's house (at the end of the line). The most recent test registered 0.30 ppm free chlorine. Next steps: Corinne was advised to contact PR engineer and follow up with necessary steps to get conditional approval. An updated schematic of the system was requested. Corinne was also reminded that While UV disinfection is a great addition, the water system will still need to maintain chlorine residual to comply with disinfection requirements. 03.07.2025 The DRC reported that the whole plant was disassembled Feb. 20-28 in order to install the UV reactor for disinfection. In the interim, Water is being trucked in. The water is purchased from City of Coos Bay and delivered by Baimbridge water LLC. When the daily water delivery happens, sodium hypochlorite is added to ensure appropriate residual is maintained. |
