| Details: | I contacted Delta Operations regarding the recent Nitrate result over the MCL; the operator is already aware of the result. They will collect a confirmation sample as soon as possible. Regardless of the result of the confirmation sample, the operator stated that they were already planning on installing Nitrate treatment in this system. This system has had steadily increasing Nitrate results over the past several years. I reminded the operator that any installation of Nitrate treatment would require plan-review. If the Nitrate confirmation sample cannot be collected, then the system may have to issue a public notice. UPDATE 3/27/2025: Left an email for Delta Operations regarding the Nitrate confirmation sample/ALERT; the average of the confirmation sample and original result over the MCL is 10.35ppm. At this time the system is required to install treatment for Nitrate. In the email I included a link to plan-review instructions and contact information for Zach C./State Plan-Review. |
