| Details: | DBP Alert 138 and 139 03.31.2025 - Regarding the DBP MCL exceedance, the distribution system operator reported that they have begun more extensive flushing of the water system to alleviate the issue. The operator has also consulted with the water treatment plant superintendent regarding chlorine dosing station setpoints to ensure the water system is not dosing unnecessarily high at certain points in the distribution system, potentially leading to additional DBP formation. It is important to note that this is also the time of year when the system typically experiences the highest levels of DBPs. The operator is optimistic that the results will reduce in the coming months due to changes in raw water organic matter and system flushing events. The system is also discussing the installation of an automatic flushing station in the far reaches of the distribution system to help maintain water movement. 03.27.2025 - The operator was emailed and asked to provide an update on any updates or plans to address the recent DBP MCL exceedance. |
