| Details: | I spoke with the operator regarding the most recent E-Coli positive repeat sample. At this time, the system is required to post a boil-water notice. I instructed the operator to shock and flush the system, to attempt to investigate the system to find out what may have caused the contamination, and to continue with monthly coliform testing. The operator confirmed that they would post the boil water notice, and send a copy to Lane DW program after posting. I informed the operator that they are NOT required to install treatment at this time, but that I recommend they plan on doing so in the future, as this type of issue has come up repeatedly in the last couple years. I sent the operator a public notice template and instructions via email. |
