Details: | Received voice mail on 4/17 from complainant regarding violations this system has received & concern about the specific SOC violation. Left a message returning her call from the message she left for our drinking water program staff. Let her know that I understood her message voiced concerns about violations for 2 analyte groups shown on OHA’s website for Salmon Valley Water; and that: 1. SOC violation (for 1,2-dibromo-3-chloropropane) : this violation was NOT because this chemical was detected in the water. It was a lab error from the lab not running/reporting this sample (creating the “late / nonreporting” violation type); and the 3 prior years ’21,’22 & ’23 testing did not detect this chemical in the water. Mentioned the violation will be switched to resolved on OHA’s website at the next test. 2. RAD violations were from a scheduling schedule set too early by OHA. OHA set the testing schedule for this analyte to begin before the well was being used by the water system. Again it was not because chemical was detected or detected above the MCL of 15 PCI/L. Once the reason was identified, OHA marked these violations resolved (“returned to compliance”). Left my phone number if she has any questions about this information. |
