| Details: | System received required chlorine letter due to 3+ confirmed coliform results within 12 months. The concrete reservoir had several cracks on the surface and joints and it's thought that rain and melting snow contributed to the positive samples. Level one and two investigations both mention this possible source of contamination. Operator Craig sent an email stating that the cracks and joints have been repaired and the concrete sealed. Pressure tanks were also replaced. The chlorine requirement will be suspended for now per OAR 333-061-0032 (g)(A) as we believe the defect has been corrected. However, if the system receives one or more confirmed total coliform positives within the next 12 months, continuous chlorine that provides a residual in distribution will be required. | ||
