| Details: | An Level 2 investigation of the well head yesterday was conducted for possible pathways of fecal contamination. The wellhead was found to be buried in dirt in such a manner that rain water would be collected and directed towards the well casing. The wellhead was not protected with a structure. Yesterday I recommended a corrective action that includes dirt removal to grade, leveling the area around the well so that it will not collect water, install a structure that protects the wellhead from weather and animal/bird intrusion. I received a photo this morning that shows that the dirt and tire have been removed and that the ground around the well is level. I will be returning to this site in the next few days to conduct a physical inspection of the work done. | ||
