| Details: | The operator has added chlorine to the system but has not yet been able to detect a residual in distribution. They are increasing the chlorine dosage, flushing the system, and testing again for residual. Once the chlorinator is restored to normal function, the operator will collect a special sample. We recommended that the operator reach out to OAWU for additional technical assistance with the chlorinator. UPDATE: The operator is working with technical assistants from OAWU to restore normal function to the chlorinator. Resampling is anticipated to occur early next week. UPDATE 8/25/25: The operator determined that the chemical feed pump is not maintaining prime, resulting in inconsistent and inadequate chlorination. Replacement parts have been ordered, and repairs are expected to be completed this week. Once repairs are made and the system can maintain a consistent chlorine residual throughout the distribution system, the operator will collect a coliform confirmation sample. |
