| Details: | I did not hear back from Carlos when I left a message in February, but reached him by phone today. Carlos and Brenda Vasquez do all the monitoring for this water system (the daily treatment monitoring and chemical and coliform monitoring). In 2018, this system received violations for not collecting an annual nitrate sample nor the lead or copper samples that were due in 2018. There was another violation because the annual DBP samples were collected outside of (later than) the designated sampling month, September. Carlos said they inherited duties at the water system 3 years ago without good guidance and would welcome clarifications of the monitoring requirements. I will email him links to Data Online so he can see what samples are due and when. I suggested he phone me back when he is in front of a computer and I can walk him through the relevant links. They want to start fresh in 2019 and get everything in on time. Lead and Copper must now be done in 2019 because they missed it in 2018. I suggested he try to find which 5 locations were used for lead and copper sampling in the past, because they should use the same ones, unless one of them has been vacant for some time or is otherwise no longer representative. I will email him information on notifying residents of their individual lead and copper results as well. | ||
