| Details: | 09.22.2025 541 Water provided a copy of the Plan Review Final Approval Request Form. The operator informed me that the form was sent to HBH for their engineer to sign and submit to DWS plan review engineer. The project included improvements to the treatment plant and the installation of a calcium carbonate contactor for corrosion control. The project started on February 10, 2025, and the system was placed online on April 2, 2025. Next steps: - HBH has to submit the PR Final Approval Request Form to DWS PR for final approval. - During the next two six-month lead and copper demonstration rounds, the system has to collect 2 sets of WQPs (pH, Alkalinity) both at the EP and in the distribution system. The operator informed me that the next lead and copper sampling is scheduled for the month of October 2025. - pH sampling: The operator was instructed to calibrate the pH meter prior to sampling. Calibration must be conducted following manufacturer instructions. - Alkalinity sampling: The operator was advised to send the required alkalinity samples to the lab for analysis. Purchasing an approve alkalinity test kit is an option, but it has to be an approved EPA titration method. - The operator was also advised to submit the CCR and ASRs for 2024. The system has failed to report the CCRs and ASRs for the last four years. |
