| Details: | Mr. Carlson contacted me on their response to confirmed total coliform in distribution of this system (and also described in the level 1). He stated he used the chloro-calculator spreadsheet I provided him to place 3 gallons of 12.5% HASACHLOR Sodium Hypochlorite to 275,000 gal of storage water (drawn down), then added 125,000 gal to mix, then began sending this water through distribution. This concentration would be about 1ppm if properly mixed. I stated that this is generally not an acceptable method even for temporary disinfection, but I did confirm to him that this was a safe concentration if the water in tank was homogenous. Carlson was confident this was true. |
