| Details: | The microbial sample collected at site #5 on October 7, 2025, tested positive for total coliform bacteria. The other samples collected on that date were acceptable. No E. coli were detected. Advised Joel that confirmation sampling is required any time a sample tests positive and that three repeat samples must be collected at the following locations: 1) One sample at site #5, the location of the recent positive sample. 2) One sample within 5 service connections upstream of site #5. 3) One sample within 5 service connections downstream of site #5. In addition, advised that the water system must collect one sample at the common header to the wells/springs that were in use on October 7th. Recommended that the system collect these samples within 24 hours, if possible. System already collected samples and the results should be available 10/10/2025. Update: 10/13/2025: Two of the repeat samples collected 10/9/2025 were also total coliform positive and E. coli negative. Water system is conducting a level 1 coliform investigation. |
