Details: Recent WS Survey revealed the disrepair of the filter media, package plant, & monitoring equipment.
Operators dutifully & genuinely strive to meet turbidity MCLs, while strategizing and planning improvements. Challenges abound, however, they are improving things with Board support inch-by-inch.

Could use the Circuit Rider to help strategize best filter trouble-shooting approach:

  • Clean vs. Replace filter media?
  • Package plant repairs (e.g., surface scour arms) vs. New package plant?
  • Filter Process improvements vs. Meters & a new filter treatment plant (e.g., slow sand)?


    • (Relatedly, the Water System evaluation in 2015 recommended some solutions.)
