| Details: | I received word that there were problems again with disinfection in March - it looks like the pH jumped from 7.0 to 8.5 in one day early in the month (was that after chemical cleaning with caustic soda again?), which caused them to not meet CT that day. And on March 21, the chlorine dropped too low (0.16) at entry point, so there will also be a violation for not maintaining that minimum of 0.2 mg/L at the entry point. In addition, their pH meter went out the last week of March so they could not confirm meeting CT those days. This is a treatment technique violation. I emailed the Tier 2 public notice template to HOA president Corinne Clifton and past(?) secretary Megan Maloney, and to Lynne Leisy, who has done some of the notices in the past. I clarified that the notice wording needs to cover the two types of violations: a) not providing adequate contact time, and b) not meeting the minimum residual of <0.2 mg/L at the entry point. |
