Details: | After speaking with Joe Carlson, OHA DMCE Manager, it was confirmed that Bethel Park has the option to forgo corrosion control treatment if it can demonstrate that the source water is not corrosive. This can be done by submitting two 6-month demonstration rounds (5 samples each round) of lead and copper monitoring. If the results of the two rounds are in compliance with the lead and copper rule, the system will move to a reduced lead and copper monitoring schedule. If the results exceed the action level for either lead or copper, corrosion control treatment will be required. The first round can be taken now through June and the second round should be taken between July and December. |
