Details: ODA Staff member Sarah Schwab performed a follow-up inspection at Silver Falls Country Store on 7/10. She found that the updated boil water notice had not been posted for the public. She returned the next day and confirmed that the notice had been put up.
She also communicated to the system owner/operator, that to clear the boil water notice the system would need to have three temporary routines free of E. coli.
In order to accomplish this the firm intends to:
  • Install a new pressure tank.
  • Shock the well and distribution system.
  • Take three temperorary routine samples.
When these samples return the clean, the system will be off of a boil water notice.

Additionally, she provided the owner/operator with paperwork to submit their new ultraviolet light to plan review for approval.
