| Details: | Whaleshead Beach RV Resort operates two treatment facilities located at 19921 Whaleshead Rd. Brookings Oregon in Curry County 8.2 miles north of the city of Brookings. Water supply comes from a combination of two hand dug wells near Whaleshead Creek for treatment system A, and a spring (upper cistern) source for treatment system B. Water is treated through multiple filtration steps prior to chlorine disinfection, requiring a .5 log inactivation CT. Whaleshead Beach RV Park is currently in the process of modifying Treatment System B configuration and improving operations to increase contact time and disinfection consistency, which will also allow for the conducting of a tracer study, upon completion. 11-8-2018 - 3-6-2019 1. Jared Sylvester has been in contact over several weeks with the Operator, DRCs, OHA representatives and the property owner to aid, as needed, regarding the system upgrades. Due to the need for the water system to complete upgrades, this Circuit Rider effort is being closed. Once the water system upgrades are complete and operations prepared, we will work with them to reschedule the required tracer study. The technical memo will be prepared and submitted on 3-6-19 |
