| Details: | Rene notified me that Cornelius had another routine positive total coliform (the second this month) that was collected yesterday 9/17 from 901 S 1st Ave. Three repeats (original site, upstream, downstream) will be collected today. Chlorine residual was normal (0.8 ppm). Rene mentioned that it was raining heavily when the sample was collected, otherwise no other possible cause. I let Rene know that having 2 or more positive total coliform samples in the same month triggers a Level 1 Coliform Investigation which must be done within 30 days and I sent him the investigation form. Will wait for results from repeats and respond accordingly. UPDATE 9/30/19: the 3 repeats were absent, no further action required. The Level 1 investigation form was submitted 9/24/19. Potential cause of positive routine sample attributed to dropping the sample cap on the ground on a rainy day. System will review proper sampling protocol. | ||
