| Details: | Total coliform was found present in the routine sample collected Oct 1. They had already collected 3 repeat samples and ran them to the lab this AM. The lab staff person had instructed them where to collect the 3 repeats - one at the same location as the Oct 1 sample, one "upstream" and one "downstream" of that. The resort manager believes the initial result was due to sampling technique that led to contamination. She said things were rushed because they collected all their samples for the quarter (including initial chemical monitoring) on that same day, Oct 1. They did not have a written coliform sampling plan, so I emailed Corinne our template and explained on the phone what the required contents are. It will be great if they can complete this written sampling plan before the upcoming water system survey. |
