Details: | Bill notified me on October 18th that the water system's total trihalomethane (TTHM) sample collected on October 2nd was 0.081 mg/L and over the maximum contaminant level (MCL) of 0.080 mg/L. The 4th quarter location running annual average (LRAA) and operational evaluation level (OEL) also exceeded the MCL. On October 22nd, I notified Bill of the 30-day public notice requirement and need to complete an operational evaluation within 90 days to investigate and make operational changes. A public notice template and OEL form was emailed to complete and return. On same day, received copy of posted public notice and operational evaluation. Preliminary engineering and design work has begun to correct the DBP issue. Young Life anticipates plan review submittal in January 2020. On December 3rd, Bill emailed me that no implementation timeline has been established yet. Preliminary treatment options are still being considered. Taking into account installation cost and scheduling installation around peak demand period, he plans to have treatment changes in place by March 2021. On January 21st, Bill emailed me and Young Life will not be able to meet the January timeline for OHA Plan Review regarding pretreatment for our DBP issues. He is planning to have documents submitted by March 1st. |
