Details: | City detected HAA5 at over the MCL level of 0.060 mg/L during 4th quarter at 14665 Bluff Rd, compliance point, as well as at 37801 Cascadia Villa, an non-compliance DBP site. This is not an MCL violation as the running annual averages are below the MCLs for both TTHM and HAA5. Mike indicated fall brings higher DBP levels. As a result, City will take one of the storage tanks out of service to reduce water age in distribution. If this does not work, City will clean the tank from Portland's connection to try and reduce organic loading from this source. As a result of LRAAs over half the MCLs for HAA5, City will need to revert back to routine DBP schedule of 4 sites per quarter, beginning with 1st quarter 2020. Mike to provide two additional DBP sites to DWS to assign as sampling locations. 1/21/20 update: City will increase from 2 to 4 sites per quarter beginning in 1st quarter 2020 (March). City will sample at 37801 Cascadia Villa, a standard monitoring site from the IDSE with HAA5 values over the MCL, and 16610 Champion Way, a stage 1 DBP site with HAA5 levels also over the MCL, in addition to Pioneer and Bluff sites. By the way, since City population has recently grown to over 10,000 people, need to sample at 4 DBP sites a quarter, regardless. |
