| Details: | Rainbow Rock will receive a treatment technique violation for December for: (a) failing to meet the disinfection standard (that is, not meeting “CT”) on Dec. 11 & 12th, and (b) failing to maintain the minimum of 0.2 mg/L chlorine residual at the entry point on those days. Some of the disinfection equipment and/or meters failed during those days in December. Although they immediately issued a Tier 1 Boil Advisory for the E. coli presence in their distribution at the same time, failing to meet these disinfection standards is a different violation requiring a Tier 2 notice, which must be distributed within 30 days. I began tailoring the Tier 2 notice for this incident and emailed it to Brenda to complete. I reminded Brenda that after the notice has been distributed to the residents, she needs to send me a copy of the final notice that shows the distribution date. |
