| Details: | Below is the corrective action plan Kelly Sevey submitted today to respond to the confirmed E. coli in the "spring." They are switching to an existing drilled well. 1. February 23, 2020: Install submersible pump, 3/4" water line (PVC), install coyote switch and lower into well. This will also include shocking the well. 2. March 17, 2020: Secure and send water samples to test for E. Coli, coliforms, nitrate and arsenic. 3. April 11, 2020: Disconnect from old water source (provided samples of well are good), empty cistern, clean and reseal. Repair and seal any holes in cistern roof. 4. April 15, 2020: Connect well to cistern and fill cistern. "It is our goal to achieve these items well ahead of this schedule but we wanted to allow ourselves ample time for the unforeseen." Update 3/10/2020: Kelly sent me the arsenic, nitrate, and coliform tests for the new well. I will ask DMCE to enter the new source (it will be called an "unapproved well") into the database, along with the test results from that source. Kelly hopes to hook up to the new source within the next 1-2 weeks. |
