| Details: | Whaleshead Beach RV Resort operates two treatment facilities located at 19921 Whaleshead Rd. Brookings Oregon in Curry County 8.2 miles north of the city of Brookings. Water supply comes from a combination of two hand dug wells near Whaleshead Creek for treatment system A, and a spring (upper cistern) and dug well for treatment system B. Water is treated through multiple filtration steps prior to chlorine disinfection, requiring a .5 log inactivation CT. Modifications were made to the system to address deficiencies that had prevented the completion of a previous tracer study for the upper system. 1. 10-24-19 Jared Sylvester met system operator Rob Wicklund on site to conduct the tracer study. The tracer study was complete with no issues, and data collected to complete the tracer study report. 2. 11-15-19 Final edits of the tracer study report were submitted to Betsy Parry for review. |
