| Details: | SUMMARY: I collected a routine total coliform sample on 10/24/06 while conducting sanitary survey. The sample was positive for total coliform. DETAILS: The sample that I collected was from a hose bib tap that had not been sampled before. Bill Duke (water system operator) collected four repeat samples on 10/25/06 all of which were negative for total coliform. Due to what is clearly a sampling error on my part I have put in a request to Diane Stockton to waive the 5 routine samples that would normally be required for next month. Because the original hose bib sample tap had not been used in so long, it likely needed to be flushed for a longer period of time prior to sampling. ACTION NEEDED: Bill has been instructed that no additional sampling will be necessary this quarter. The four negative repeat samples will be counted as the fourth quarter routine. Bill will need to submit his next routine sample in the first quarter of 2007. | ||
