| Details: | City of Keizer has relatively new water main lines that have had positive bacteria samples, they think the biofilm on the new piping has not had enough time to build up in the pipes. After repeated flushing they test again and the samples come back negative. They have had this issue before and the regulator suggested to open the water main lines to the entire water system which resulted in negative bacteria samples. City of Keizer will shock chlorinate and flush the lines until they have negative bacteria samples. DWS will check in with the city to see if issue is resolved. UPDATE 3/30: City is re-chlorinating the affected watermain lines and will retest for bacteria presence. Lab result was showing 1-2 colonies. |
