| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive total coliform repeat sample collected 09/17/2007. DETAILS: I received an alert for a positive total repeat sample collected 09/17/2007. The sample had a free chlorine residual of 0.3 mg/L. Two additional repeat samples collected 9/12 and 9/17 were absent for coliform. The operator does not know what has caused the coliform sample positive and suspects it was contamination during sample collection. I emailed the public notice template to the Boldens and instructed them to provide copies to all homes and to myself. I reminded Mrs. Bolden that five routines are required next month to assure the contamination is no longer present. I also suggested the check chlorine residuals and consider increasing them along with checking the system for possible leaks. ACTION NEEDED: Await copy of the public notice and five routines in October. | ||
