|Details:||Pete called and emailed two Midland residents who reached out to DWS about the current water outage at Midland. Their primary complaint was the lack of communication while their water steadily lost pressure since Wednesday, May 6th. Mother's Day, May 10th, was exceptionally low pressure, and while some residents were notified of the Boil Order Monday May 11th, not everyone was.
Pete shared these communication complaints to the Board President, Dave Burch. Dave and Pete are working on a plan to improve communications both for the remainder of this event; and especially prioritizing improving rapid-communications for the future.
Recent leadership transitions and two recent deaths has made the water system particularly under-staffed and vulnerable. Improvements will be made later this month to build resiliency at the water system.
