Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up for TC + DETAILS: Newly designated operator pulled a positive sample from the well head prior to chlorination and marked it routine. He called to ask if the sample could be reclassified to a Special sample. I contacted Bill Goss DHS June 12 and he said that under these circumstances it could be considered mis marked. This system is chlorinated for residual maintenance. The samples taken at the well head and raw water should be marked as special since it is not typical of the water consumed. One sample is not an indicator of poor source water. I spoke with Chuck Michael DHS Data Mgnt June 16 and he will reclassify the sample. ACTION NEEDED: System is to resample in distribution Review chlorine concentrations of previous samples taken at the well head and find out why they had a chlorine residual. Mark all future samples as Special if they are taken from well head prior to chlorination. Take the well head raw water samples off of the coliform sampling plan. If raw water samples continue to show up positive then consideration needs to be given regarding reclassifying the source water. | ||
