| Details: | SUMMARY: Two Routine samples taken 12/11 were total coliform-positive. DETAILS: Ed Pugh called to report that 2 Routine samples were total coliform-positive. The regular operator who normally takes the samples was gone and someone else took the samples (according to the systems coliform sampling plan). The system takes 10 samples per month and I informed Ed that two positive results are an MCL violation. However, I advised him to review sample procedures and locations with staff and take 6 Repeat samples to determine if there is a problem with the sample locations. We reviewed sample invalidation criteria, but invalidation may be difficult in this case. ACTION NEEDED: DWP to review Repeat sample results to determine if invalidation is appropriate. If not, public notification will be required. | ||
