| Details: | SUMMARY: Inspected slow sand filter plant and water system facilities DETAILS: Amy Baker and Gary Burnett inspected the new slow sand filter plant with Georgia Patterson, DRC, and Ron Combs, operator. The plant is still being flushed to waste until satisfactory bacteria removal rates are achieved by filtration. Turbidity has been about 0.070 NTU in the raw water, and 0.20 in the treated water. The City is taking 2 sets of bacteria samples per week, including raw water and effluent water from each filter. The samples are done for both total coliform and E.coli enumeration. We also reviewed SWTR monthly report forms and details of calculating actual CT. We met with Mayor Stan Horrell and discussed the City Councils review of the change order to install a new well pump. Work on the well increased the flow from 75 gpm to 150 gpm. ACTION NEEDED: DWP to reduce Routine Coliform samples to 2 per month. City to continue collecting raw/treated coliform and E.coli samples for enumeration twice per week. | ||
