| Details: | The City of Willamina uses soda ash for corrosion control. Justin reached out to DWS about the use of citric acid to control high pH values (increase chlorine effectiveness = use less chlorine and reduce rising DBPs). Justin was notified OAR 333-061-0060 requires system additions or modification to corrosion control treatment be submitted to and approved by DWS. He was directed to get a professional engineer to evaluate water chemistry and corrosion control options and submit a plan review for any chemical additions. Circuit Riders information was also provided as they might be able to assist him and provide information on managing the pH. | ||
