| Details: | SUMMARY: complaint regarding water color DETAILS: Allen called stating that his water is discolored (black/brown) staining. Problem occurring for at least two years. Concerned about having to continually replace units that use water and are stained in home. Concerned system not monitoring, and not taking corrective action to address problem. I summarized enforcement actions and penalties assessed to date by DWP for monitoring compliance. I reviewed SDWIS and did not see many monitoring exceedences of health based criteria. Forwarded complaint to Columbia Countys Mark Edington, as did not observe any previous discoloration complaints in the file. Forwarded Allen a summary of enforcement. ACTION NEEDED: DWP to follow up with Columbia County to inquiry about having someone go out there to inspect system, and provide support as necessary. | ||
