| Details: | Alerts were received that source assessment samples collected on July 28th at Well 1 (SRC-AA) and Well 2 (SRC-AB) were both E. coli positive. After several attempts to reach the water supplier, I contacted Austin Krater at Umpqua Research Company in Bend who collects samples for OPRD. URC will collect five confirmation samples at each well today and submit those results to DMCE Monday next week. Mr. Krater indicated a routine sample was also collected on the 28th and it was coliform absent measuring a chlorine residual at 0.6 ppm. This result will be submitted to DMCE today. I emailed follow up sampling letter to Mr. Krater, and spoke with Max about URC collecting confirmation samples. He had already spoke to Todd Honeywell, the primary contact for the water system. Max may be able to inspect the wells next week to evaluate the source of contamination. Waiting for source confirmation samples results to determine further action. |
