| Details: | City of Dufur triggered into completing two 6-month rounds of lead and copper sampling at the standard number of sites due to changing residual disinfection from tablet to liquid chlorine in 2018. This change was identified as a deficiency without plan review during their 2019 water system survey. In June 2020, the City collected lead and copper samples for the first round. The 90th percentile of those results were below both lead and copper action levels and below threshold to reduce monitoring to every third year. After further review it was determined that changing chlorine types had no significant effect on corrosion potential, therefore monitoring will return to every third year at the reduced number of ten sites. |
