| Details: | SUMMARY: Reviewed coliform sampling requirements for November due to October MCL violation. DETAILS: City to take 5 Routine coliform samples in November since a TCR MCL violation occurred in October. Note-- 2 of the positive samples showed a chlorine residual of 0.83 mg/l. Dick says that was the reading on that day. Therefore, a biofilm problem may be contributing to the coliform occurrences. The system has always had a very high chlorine demand. Dick will also add 5 gallons of 12.5 % sodium hypochlorite to the 200,000 gallon reservoir to try an achieve an adequate residual in the distribution system. ACTION NEEDED: 5 Routine coliform samples required for November. Public notification for Total Coliform MCL violation required by November 30. | ||
