| Details: | SUMMARY: Arsenic Issues DETAILS: HBH was contacted by the City due to high arsenic levels in one of its three municipal wells. The City provides water to approximately 300 people through 120 connections. The water system consists of two older wells, and one newer well which is the source of the highest arsenic contamination. HBH composed a source water sampling memo to allow for the system to sample for the proper chemical properties. Consulted EPA Decision Making Tree to determine proper means of Arsenic Treatment/Management. It was determined that a combination of treatment and blending would likely be the best course of action. The best treatment method would largely be cost dependent. I contacted treatment plant manufacturers to determine possible budget amounts for treatment equipment and log-term costs. ACTION NEEDED: Further assist City with selecting proper course of action. | ||
